Our Team
A group practice built around collaboration.
Frick Counseling began as a solo private practice in Dunmore, PA and is growing into a small group practice — a team of therapists who share one goal: steady, skillful care that fits the person sitting across from us.

I didn't come to this work by accident. I grew up under the guidance of my grandfather, Joseph M. Cannon, PhD, a psychologist and educator, who showed me early on the power of listening, curiosity, and compassion.
Early in my career, I supported individuals with disabilities as they worked toward meaningful employment, and those years shaped how deeply I value dignity, resilience, and the impact that systems, both supportive and broken, can have on a person's sense of self. Eventually, that path led me to founding Frick Counseling. Over the years, I've had the privilege of supporting people through trauma, grief and loss, chronic illness and disability, LGBTQ+ journeys, anxiety, depression, and the moments in life when everything seems to shift at once or not at all. Today, I'm growing Frick Counseling from a solo practice into a small group practice, so more people can find this same kind of care.
What I've learned along the way is this: when life feels broken, it doesn't mean that you are. Many people come wanting to be fixed because something inside hurts or feels out of place. I don't see this work as fixing who you are, but as repair and reconnection: creating enough safety, compassion, and curiosity so the parts of you that have been hurt can be seen, supported, and gently transformed. That belief is at the heart of my work.
My therapy style is warm, conversational, and experiential. I blend talk therapy with nervous-system-informed approaches, helping guide, nurture, and protect your nervous system so healing can be deeper and more sustainable.
I'm often a good fit for people who sense that something deeper needs to change — even if they can't fully name it yet. You might be curious about going below the surface, learning more about your brain and body, and finding new ways to meet yourself with kindness. And if that doesn't quite feel like you, that's okay, too. I welcome people at every stage of readiness and believe growth looks different for everyone.
Alongside my clinical work, I'm deeply passionate about supporting therapists themselves. I'm building Frick Counseling on my belief that therapists should be valued, mentored, and cared for, so they can do meaningful work without sacrificing their own well-being. I enjoy offering individual and group supervision and consultation to emerging clinicians as they find their own voices in this work.
I encourage you to take your time, read profiles, ask questions, and find the therapist who feels like the right fit. And if you do reach out to me and I'm not able to take you on, I'll do my best to help you find someone who can support you.
Outside of work, you'll usually find me spending time with my partner and rescue dogs, tending to my collection of houseplants, meditating, staying active, portrait drawing, and cheering on Philly sports — with even a little pro wrestling in the mix.

Hello, I’m Jessica, and I’ve been providing outpatient mental health therapy for more than 10 years. I have experience working with clients across the lifespan and genuinely enjoy the variety that brings to my practice.
My experience includes working with trauma, depression, anxiety, relationship concerns, couples, and families. I believe therapy should be a space where you feel supported while also being encouraged to look at your thoughts, patterns, and behaviors in new ways. I believe growth is possible for everyone, and that each day gives us another opportunity to learn, grow, and challenge ourselves.
Outside of my work as a therapist, I’m a mom to two grown children and recently became a mother-in-law—an exciting role I’ll be stepping into again in 2028! I also share my home with my husband and our three dogs, who have successfully trained us both very well.
I’m excited to work with you and want you to feel comfortable throughout your therapy journey. I’m always happy to answer questions and help you determine whether we might be a good fit.

Hello, I'm Marsinlen (pronounced Mar-Sin-Len).
I'm a licensed professional counselor in Northeast Pennsylvania. Over the years, I have worked in many settings, including inpatient and outpatient substance abuse treatment facilities, local hospitals, and outpatient mental health and correctional facilities. I believe in caring for the whole person, and that change and healing are always possible.
My clinical approach is very welcoming and relational while using approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing. I have a passion for working with adults who have chronic illness and mental health conditions, those who have experienced trauma, and persons who have anxiety, depression, or post-traumatic stress disorder PTSD. My goal as a therapist is to provide compassion and clarity to everyone I meet.
In my free time, I live locally near Scranton, PA, with my fiancé and two lovable dogs. I enjoy creative arts and music as well.
